Friends' Marketplace

Presenter at the fall 2021 Take Care Summit. Friends’ Marketplace is a community- centered food store with the goal of promoting local growers and serving as a source of culinary inspiration. Some of the stores recent initiatives include initiatives include moving from plastic bags to paper, starting a reusable bag rebate program, replacing energy- inefficient freezer cases, composting food waste, and switching to compostable produce bags.
